Polished Concrete - Surface Preparation:
Concrete floors require a surface preparation prior to polishing to remove grease, dirt, carpet glue, coatings, or anything on top. Concrete floors that are unlevel, have extensive cracks, or are porous may not be good candidates for polishing. concrete must be polished to level 1800-3500 grit diamonds to be considered polished concrete.During the polishing process a sealer is applied to protect, hardened and densified the concrete. Polished concrete floors can be stained, dyed, or waxed to enhance it.
